This scene is so delicate. And they were incredibly stunning in it.

They so clearly adore each other so much. It’s “as plain as the nose on your face.”

SO beautiful.

They both just light up when they see each other.  So much love.

What I love about this is the shock on Mary’s face when he says “I’m so glad your here” she really doesn’t expect to ever hear anything like that from his lips again after “We’re cursed” and you can see the shock written all over her.

“You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it(…). Dare not say that a man forgets sooner than woman, that his love has an earlier death. I have loved none but you. Unjust I may have been, weak and resentful I have been, but never inconstant.”

Jane Austen, Persuasion

Love has very little to do with talking and planning. It’s the power to move the other with longing looks and silent invitations; above all, is the power to know the other person without them asking to be known. However much they tried, their eyes never lied.
